Another little gem I found, the wine is completely necessary to making this stew taste as delicious as it does. Hearty and warm, its perfect for these chilly fall days. Try it yourself!

I love making one pot meals. Just the thought of how little dishes you use alone is enough reason to include these time-savey recipes into your weekly routines. With cheap, hearty ingredients, these meals are filling, delicious, and feed a lot of hungry mouths (or yours for a few days!).  Im calling this post “1″ because I happen to make  A lot (!) of soups in the winter time, and I have acquired a fair amount of literature on the subject. So for now, Im going to post 3 Recipes, all of varying price and time-allotment for your enjoyment. I have picked my Favorite simply Chicken Noodle Soup, Miso Soup *a new recipe that I have yet to try (Watch for the Post “Miso Soup Test” coming soon…), and a Hearty Ribollita-Style soup full of Protein and Nutrients. Have fun mixing it up with these recipes. Rice is a good substitute for pasta, and try substituting in your favorite veggies (red pepper, spinach, mushrooms etc.)

Good Luck!
